AStA stands for Allgemeiner Studierendenausschuss (General Student Committee). This means that the AStA is made up of all elected semester speakers, student-elected representatives of the committees, but also students who are committed to the interests of the students. So the AStA is also you! We have many areas and groups in which you can get involved and contribute new ideas.
Generally speaking, the AStA promotes democracy, we stand for openness and advocate for equality.
This results in tasks such as internal university communication, which takes place within the student body (courses and semesters), as well as between the university (committees and management) and the students. The participation in the development of the university, through information dissemination and student representation is a particularly important point.
