The degree program qualifies students for challenging and scientifically based work with children aged 0-12 and their families in various childhood education institutions as well as various professional fields of action. In addition to tasks in education and care, the program also qualifies students for tasks in management and counseling. Graduates have a wide range of career opportunities with possible work in child day care facilities, professional counseling, with supporting associations or in further education.

The study program is realized in cooperation with the Ludwigsburg University of Education. This cooperation represents a unique selling point in Baden-Württemberg and enables a wide range of study content in the program, as the thematic strengths of both universities come to bear.
In the course of study, you will acquire content from pedagogy, psychology, sociology, inclusion, diversity, law and social management, among others, and thus qualify for scientifically based work with children from 0-12 years of age and their families as well as for consulting and managing educational institutions.
The program has several practical phases (including an internship semester), so that you can gain a variety of experiences. The practical phases are accompanied by courses at the university and practical experiences are reflected upon. In addition, you will have the opportunity to carry out research or didactic projects during the internship.

Information for prospective students from abroad
